Redtail Golf Club is a Public 18 hole golf course located in Village of Lakewood, Illinois.
The course opened for play in 1989, was designed by Roger Packard.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 6,885 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,400 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 5, a par-5 that plays to 570 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 17, a par-3 that plays to 160 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 5, a 570 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 17, a 160 yard par-3.
Red tail Golf Course course winds through 240 acres of rolling, natural wetlands within a residential community. The course has several island greens.

Price was $29/cart thru golfnow.com which, when we presented the coupon at the "pro shop" (the trailer that they've had as a pro shop for as many years as I've played the course) they honored it but mentioned that the coupon was a mistake and had been removed from the website (at least they honored it so I have to give them kudos for that). The course is probably worth $40/cart but I wouldn't pay any more than that even in peak season. It can be a challenging course, not very long, and the pace of play is sssssllllllooooooowwwwww. Kind of a hike for me to get them from where I am and had I not been playing with somebody who lives out that way I would not make a special trip to play the course.
